Hey, The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. It's a a mid-size city city with about 116K people. Median household income is $96,145, which feels pretty solid for the area. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Is this normal for Westminster? The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Came here for family and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The public transit is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Weather-wise, the summers are hit or miss and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.

Hot take but I'm still on the fence after all this time. I know a lot of people disagree but after 4 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Used to live on the Old Town side, now on the Greenfield side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Worth doing your research before committing.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in West. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in engineering. If you're in consulting you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.
