Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from San Francisco about 1 years ago. The main reasons were weather and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons that are real:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are established, gas is average.
Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
