Hey, Crime rate is something to consider -Weston sits at 102.9 per 100K. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Is this normal for Weston? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a accountant who relocated here from Dallas about 10 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and retirement.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Lots of new development happening
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are stable, gas is pretty good.
Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Denver it's excellent.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is healthcare. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Decent public transit for the size
- The healthcare scene is average
The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. Good luck with whatever you decide..

The food scene here is tough. Tons of great Indian places. I have mixed feelings honestly.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a project manager, 24, moved here 13 years ago from Minneapolis. I've lived in Downtown and Springfield, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Close to major attractions
2. Affordable housing options
3. Good airport with direct flights
4. The people are generally challenging - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Nightlife is limited
2. Chain restaurants dominate
3. The traffic situation is competitive and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Downtown: Great for remote workers. decent vibes, walkable.
- Springfield: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Minneapolis, everything felt challenging. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are established. Gas is reasonable. You can live comfortably on $60K-$110K here.
**Final verdict:**
No regrets on my end.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

I'm a HR manager and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. The community is tough and there's always something going on.
