Been meaning to ask this. Median household income is $132,206, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 3.0%, which is pretty low. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Houston about 12 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Four distinct seasons
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are wild, gas is decent.
Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Miami it's surprisingly good.
