Anyone else feel this way? I'm a college student here and Rent is about $1,019/month for a decent place. With a population of 11,823, Westview is a small town. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Does this match your experience? Thanks in advance!

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Close to major attractions
- The traffic scene is excellent
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. No regrets on my end..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to Baltimore it's underrated.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a nurse who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 2 years ago. The main reasons were school and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Can feel isolated
Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are reasonable, gas is excellent.
Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I'm a chef who relocated here from Atlanta about 3 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Affordable housing options
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Road conditions need improvement
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are stable, gas is solid.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Compared to Boston it's hit or miss.
