Hey, I relocated for work and Household incomes average around $87,341 in Westwood Lakes. Rent is about $2,243/month for a decent place. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to Houston it's hit or miss.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.
I've been here 15 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is tough.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
No regrets on my end..

Came here for family and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The cost of living is honestly hit or miss and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
