What Westwood does better than anywhere else

Average temperature is around 55--F, so the weather is moderate. Household incomes average around $169,026 in Westwood. Median household income is $169,026, which feels pretty solid for the area. You can expect to pay around $2,351 for rent here. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Worth the trade-offs? The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Raleigh about 6 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are reasonable, gas is solid.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Feel free to reach out with questions..
