Hello, Rent is about $1,431/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $196,167 in Wetherington. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Worth the trade-offs? The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Public transit is tough here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I genuinely enjoy living here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.
I've been here 14 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is pretty good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Miami about 12 years ago. The main reasons were family and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Active local events and festivals
- Four distinct seasons
Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are manageable, gas is improving.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. No regrets on my end..

I've been here 5 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is pretty good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Midtown side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
