Alright, I relocated for work and Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. You can expect to pay around $484 for rent here. With a population of 1,384, Weweantic is a small town. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. Would love some local perspective. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is food scene. it was the best decision I ever made. Worth doing your research before committing.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want community vibe, then yeah this place is great. But if healthcare matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.
I've been here 11 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is excellent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries
- The nightlife scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Road conditions need improvement
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value food scene, you'll love it. The school system is genuinely tough and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Greenfield) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Austin, be prepared for the culture shock. traffic is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

The food scene here is surprisingly good. Tons of great Asian places. I genuinely enjoy living here.
