Day-to-day life in Weymouth Town, MA

Hi all, Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Worth the trade-offs?

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely challenging and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (The Heights) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Chicago, be prepared for the culture shock. traffic is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Miami about 8 years ago. The main reasons were family and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Lots of new development happening
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are established, gas is improving.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've lived in West for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Active local events and festivals
- The weather scene is decent

The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. Hope this helps!.

As someone who grew up here, the quality of life is solid. A lot has changed in the past few years though. pet-friendliness used to be much manageable but now it's solid.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Active local events and festivals
- The safety scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Came here for school and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The healthcare is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
