Housing in Weymouth Town compared to Memphis

Household incomes average around $100,077 in Weymouth Town. The median home value here is around $516,200, which is pretty steep. Homes are going for about $516,200 on average. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Thoughts? Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Nashville about 10 years ago. The main reasons were work and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Decent public transit for the size
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Bugs and humidity in summer
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are pricey, gas is tough.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Definitely worth checking out..
