Remote worker thinking about Weymouth Town

So, I grew up here but left for a while. The median home value here is around $516,200, which is pretty steep. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Thoughts? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Active local events and festivals
- The job market scene is improving

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for families. Good luck with whatever you decide..

My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in South. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in finance. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
