Weymouth Town quality of life -am I missing something?
Been meaning to ask this. I relocated for work and Median household income is $100,077, which feels pretty solid for the area. Rent is about $1,861/month for a decent place. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value safety, you'll love it. The school system is genuinely solid and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (Eastside) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Seattle, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Chain restaurants dominate.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Weather-wise, the summers are hit or miss and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.
