Wheat Ridge vs Pittsburgh -which is better?

Hey everyone, Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. Median household income is $87,598, which feels pretty solid for the area. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Does this match your experience?

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 15 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I'm a chef and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. The community is average and there's always something going on.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Raleigh about 11 years ago. The main reasons were work and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Lots of new development happening
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Dating scene is rough
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are established, gas is underrated.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Came here for weather and stayed because there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The cultural scene is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
