Affordable areas near Wheaton?

Longtime lurker here, My family moved here when I was a kid. The unemployment rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Has anyone dealt with this?

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it exceeded my expectations. Compared to Raleigh it's surprisingly good.
