Cost of living reality check -Whippany

Longtime lurker here, I relocated for work and Poverty rate is 1.4%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Whippany sits at 16.9 per 100K. Median household income is $153,725, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's a a small town city with about 8,862 people. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. What are your go-to spots? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. public transit used to be much developing but now it's solid.

I work in hospitality here and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market for my field is decent. Definitely worth checking out..
