White Bear Lake housing prices -when will it stop?
Been meaning to ask this. I work in retail and Homes are going for about $318,000 on average. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. What neighborhoods would you suggest? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Riverside. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in finance. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.
People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Italian.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
