Hey folks, We have two kids and Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a a small town city with about 10,913 people. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want nightlife, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

My experience has been mostly positive. I have mixed feelings honestly. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. healthcare used to be much growing but now it's underrated.

I'm a real estate agent and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. The community is challenging and there's always something going on.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a physical therapist, 29, moved here 4 years ago from Salt Lake City. I've lived in Westside and Highland, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Nice parks and green spaces
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Diverse dining options
4. The people are generally tough - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Not a lot of cultural diversity
2. Limited entertainment options
3. The pet-friendliness situation is manageable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Westside: Great for families. excellent vibes, walkable.
- Highland: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Salt Lake City, everything felt pretty good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are competitive. Gas is stable. You can live comfortably on $80K-$110K here.

**Final verdict:**
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

I've lived in Eastside for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good internet infrastructure
- The nightlife scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Nightlife is limited

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. Happy to answer more specific questions..
