Hey, It's a a small town city with about 5,520 people. Homes are going for about $207,100 on average. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. Should I be concerned? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want pet-friendliness, then yeah this place is great. But if healthcare matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I've lived in Midtown for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Active local events and festivals
- The dating scene scene is excellent
The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Homeless population growing downtown
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

As someone who grew up here, the quality of life is solid. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much affordable but now it's surprisingly good.

We moved here with our family and it exceeded my expectations. Schools in Meadowbrook area are tough. Kids love it here.
