Longtime lurker here, Born and raised here. Poverty rate is 1.0%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $2,623/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $441,000 on average. The unemployment rate is 4.2%, which is about average. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Appreciate any input. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. Weather-wise, the summers are hit or miss and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.
