Anyone else feel this way? I've been here for 18 years and Crime rate is something to consider -White Plains sits at 180.7 per 100K. Rent is about $2,151/month for a decent place. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.
