Random thought, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and It's a a small town city with about 2,974 people. You can expect to pay around $841 for rent here. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Anyone in a similar situation? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
