Moving from Chicago to Whitehall next month

I'm single, late 40s, and The median home value here is around $138,700, which is actually reasonable. It's a a small town city with about 19,974 people. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Anyone in a similar situation?

Used to live on the South side, now on the Riverside side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

I've been living here for 6 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The dating scene is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Came here for family and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The job market is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. food scene used to be much growing but now it's underrated.
