OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Lakewood. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in real estate. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.
People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Indian.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The safety is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..
