Curious what people think. I work in engineering and It's a a small town city with about 4,689 people. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What are your go-to spots? I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

My experience has been mostly positive. it exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd watch out for is healthcare. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I work in healthcare here and it exceeded my expectations. The job market for my field is decent. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a teacher who relocated here from San Diego about 14 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and a job opportunity.
Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Active local events and festivals
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Far from beaches/mountains
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are manageable, gas is improving.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
