Moving to Whitney with kids -good idea?

Random thought, I grew up here but left for a while. Median household income is $63,480, which feels about average for the area. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:

- Growing food and restaurant scene

- Affordable housing options

- The healthcare scene is excellent

The downsides:

- Not very walkable outside downtown

- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for young professionals. Feel free to reach out with questions..
