What Whitney does better than anywhere else

Been meaning to ask this. Military spouse here. Crime rate is something to consider -Whitney sits at 164.9 per 100K. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Any advice would be great. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it exceeded my expectations. Internet is better than expected in most areas.
