Not sure if this has been asked before, but Rent is about $1,477/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 12.9%, which is around average. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a social worker who relocated here from LA about 2 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and a job opportunity.
Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of new development happening
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Homeless population growing downtown
Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are established, gas is improving.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Hope this helps!.
