So, I grew up here but left for a while. Crime rate is something to consider -Whittier sits at 247.2 per 100K. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What do you all think? Appreciate any input. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. My experience has been mostly positive. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The only thing I'd watch out for is cost of living. Other than that, Feel free to reach out with questions..

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in Old Town area are solid. Kids love it here.

As someone who grew up here, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. A lot has changed in the past few years though. safety used to be much growing but now it's decent.
