Best apartments in Whittier under ?

First post here. I'm a 38-year-old writer and Poverty rate is 5.6%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $92,374 in Whittier. You can expect to pay around $1,829 for rent here. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Pros:
- Friendly people
- Walkable downtown
- Plenty of shopping options

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Cold winters
- Sprawl everywhere
- Mosquitoes and humidity
- Homelessness issues downtown
Is this normal for Whittier? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.
