Working remotely from Whittier — my experience

I've been working remotely from Whittier for 7 years now. Here's my take:

The pace of life here is perfect for remote work. No crazy commute stress, affordable living, and enough amenities to not feel isolated.

Cost of living: a bit high but manageable
Internet: Decent, getting better with new providers
Coworking spaces: Limited but the library works in a pinch

If you're looking for a place to WFH, Whittier is underrated for remote workers.

Don't sleep on Midtown. It's up and coming and still affordable.

Weather is the biggest factor for us. Four seasons are nice, not too extreme either way.

Rent tip: look for places in January-February. Prices drop and there's more availability.

Check out the Westside area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.

Coming from Denver, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are cheaper.

The food scene here is seriously underrated. So many great restaurants.

I work in government and finding a job wasn't hard. Took about 3 months.

Traffic is the worst part honestly. But if you live near work it's fine.
