Hey folks, I'm retired and Poverty rate is 12.0%, which is around average. Household incomes average around $58,568 in Wichita Falls. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Is this normal for Wichita Falls? Looking forward to hearing from you all. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to.
