Household incomes average around $63,072 in Wichita. Rent is about $960/month for a decent place. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. Am I wrong here? The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
