Curious what people think. Rent is about $1,234/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $79,052 in Wickliffe. Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Public transit is solid here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's not perfect but it works for me.

I've lived in Old Town for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- The housing market scene is underrated
The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Can feel isolated
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for young professionals. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Bought a house here in 2018 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

I work in marketing here and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market for my field is improving. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Hot take but it's exactly what I was looking for. I know a lot of people disagree but after 1 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want walkability, then yeah this place is great. But if cultural scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I work in manufacturing here and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market for my field is challenging. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Maple Ridge. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in consulting you might struggle.
People: Generally better than expected. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.
