The good and bad of living in Wildomar

So, Military spouse here. Homes are going for about $511,900 on average. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Am I wrong here? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value traffic, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely tough and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (Old Town) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

As someone who grew up here, it's not perfect but it works for me. A lot has changed in the past few years though. housing market used to be much manageable but now it's improving.
