Is Wildwood a good place to live?

OK so We're a young couple and It's a a small town city with about 16,739 people. The unemployment rate is 3.0%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $71,858 in Wildwood. Median household income is $71,858, which feels about average for the area. You can expect to pay around $1,578 for rent here. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Pros:
- Growing food scene
- Strong sense of community
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Rising rent prices
- Sprawl everywhere
- Lack of diversity
- Mosquitoes and humidity
Am I wrong here? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Came here for school and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The pet-friendliness is honestly hit or miss and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 4 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The South side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Meadowbrook. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Definitely worth checking out..

Used to live on the Springfield side, now on the North side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.

Bought a house here in 2015 and it was the best decision I ever made. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

The food scene here is underrated. Tons of great Indian places. I'm still on the fence after all this time.
