Biggest downsides of living in Wilkes-Barre?

OK so I'm a college student here and The median home value here is around $108,000, which is actually reasonable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Am I overthinking this? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.
