Not sure if this has been asked before, but Military spouse here. Household incomes average around $47,970 in Wilkes-Barre. Rent is about $939/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $108,000 on average. With a population of 44,217, Wilkes-Barre is a smaller city. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What do you all think? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
