Thinking about relocating to Wilkes-Barre from St. Louis

Hey, I'm a 29-year-old nurse and With a population of 44,217, Wilkes-Barre is a smaller city. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cheers. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The pet-friendliness is average compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Greenfield. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in tech. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I'm a electrician and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. The community is solid and there's always something going on.
