OK so Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

My experience has been mostly positive. I have mixed feelings honestly. The only thing I'd watch out for is dating scene. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.
I've been here 7 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is tough.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it exceeded my expectations. No regrets on my end..

Used to live on the Springfield side, now on the Highland side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.
