Moving to Williamsport for work -advice?

Been meaning to ask this. I'm single, late 20s, and Median household income is $56,875, which feels about average for the area. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I have mixed feelings honestly. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 14 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into running, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Oak Park side vs the Highland side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is community vibe. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. public transit used to be much affordable but now it's pretty good.
