Best neighborhoods in Williamstown

Curious what people think. My family moved here when I was a kid. Homes are going for about $255,000 on average. Median household income is $87,021, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Williamstown sits at 304.9 per 100K. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. Has anyone dealt with this? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 9 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
