Why I chose Willow Grove over bigger cities
Anyone else feel this way? I'm a college student here and Household incomes average around $98,402 in Willow Grove. The median home value here is around $326,300, which seems about average. Poverty rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up.
Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Great weather
- Low crime in most areas
- Plenty of shopping options
- Good airport connections
Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Not very walkable
- Boring for young people
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Not enough green space
The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.
