Hey everyone, I'm retired and Median household income is $59,346, which feels about average for the area. It's a a small town city with about 7,299 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Willow Oak sits at 464.0 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $986 for rent here. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Would love some local perspective. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.
