What surprised you most about Willow Oak?

Curious what people think. I work in legal and Median household income is $59,346, which feels about average for the area. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I've lived in Fairview for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Decent public transit for the size
- The community vibe scene is average

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. Happy to answer more specific questions..
