I grew up here but left for a while. Average temperature is around 55--F, so expect cold winters. Homes are going for about $298,200 on average. It's a a small town city with about 10,010 people. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
