Is Willowick still affordable?

So, I'm single, late 20s, and Crime rate is something to consider -Willowick sits at 76.2 per 100K. The median home value here is around $156,100, which is actually reasonable. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Should I be concerned? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 12 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Used to live on the Riverside side, now on the East side. Completely different vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for.
