Relocating to Willowick, OH -pros and cons?

OK so Thoughts? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

We moved here with our family and it's exactly what I was looking for. Schools in South area are decent. Kids love it here.

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I have mixed feelings honestly.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The school system is genuinely solid and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (Meadowbrook) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. food scene is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Bought a house here in 2022 and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The pet-friendliness is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want school system, then yeah this place is great. But if nightlife matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Midtown. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in retail. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Thai.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
