Anyone else feel this way? My family moved here when I was a kid. The median home value here is around $224,500, which is actually reasonable. Rent is about $1,187/month for a decent place. It's a a smaller city city with about 71,124 people. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Has anyone dealt with this? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

We moved here with our family and it exceeded my expectations. Schools in West area are excellent. Kids love it here.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to New York it's solid.

Hot take but I genuinely enjoy living here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 3 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Used to live on the Downtown side, now on the Midtown side. Completely different vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
