Weekend activities in Wilmington?

Hey folks, Just moved here 18 months ago and The median home value here is around $216,400, which is actually reasonable. With a population of 5,507, Wilmington is a small town. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Cheers. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in East area are solid. Kids love it here.

I work in hospitality here and it's not perfect but it works for me. The job market for my field is decent. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is average in most areas.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in West. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've lived in Uptown for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good healthcare facilities
- The safety scene is solid

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
